Trip: VA to IN

From: genealogy_va (genealogy_va@yahoo.com) | Date: 2004-11-10 02:38:21 UTC

Hello,
Looking for advice on quick boxes along the interstates from Virginia
to Indiana. Taking I-70 there, and I-64 on the way back. It's a
long weekend, so can't stop long.

Also, are there any boxes close to Crawfordsville, Indiana? Have to
stop for the night there, and it's the turnaround point.

Thanks,
FamilyMan

Turkey Run SP is the closest location to Crawfordsville that I am aware of at this time.
There are some in the West Lafayette area ... not really a quick stop.

If you can get off I-70 you will find some along the National Road (US40) and at Fort
Harrison SP in Indianapolis (I-465 to 56th Street). Check out my Back Home Again Mystery
Box. If the location is open while you are travelling, it can be a drive-by."

FamilyMan,

My daugther and I went from Cincinnati to Lexington, VA to visit her
boyfriend at Washington and Lee University two weeks ago. We found
three LBs. Two on the Blue Ridge Parkway and one off of I64 near the
West Virginia border. It is called Humpback Bridge. Well worth seeing
the bridge and the stamp. I wish that there were others to find along
the way, but I couldn't find any on the web.

Good luck.
